The three main routes

1. DIY website builders

Tools like Squarespace or Wix typically cost £10-£30 a month. You do the design work yourself using a template. It's cheap and fast to get something live, but you're spending your own time learning the platform, and the end result is usually recognisable as a template, because thousands of other businesses are using the same one.

2. Freelancers & small studios

A freelancer or small studio (like YRB Nova) typically charges a one-off fee between £300 and £1,500 for a custom-built small business website, depending on the number of pages and features. You get a site built specifically around your business, direct communication with the person doing the work, and usually a much faster turnaround than an agency.

3. Agencies
